COOKIE POLICY
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GoPublica ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on gopublica.com and related pages. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you return or browse.
2. HOW WE USE COOKIES
We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into three categories:
- Functional (strictly necessary): Required for the site to work - session management, security, and branch/page selection. These cannot be disabled because the site would not function without them.
- Analytics: First-party, pseudonymized statistics that help us understand how visitors use the site (which pages are visited, how long they stay). Loaded only after you give consent.
- Marketing: Used for personalized advertising and embedded widgets, including Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and the live-chat widget. Loaded only after you give consent.
3. THE COOKIES WE SET
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Functional | Stores your cookie choices (functional / analytics / marketing) and the consent version | 1 year |
| Session / auth tokens | Functional | Keeps you signed in and secure during your session | Session |
Third-party cookies may be set only when the corresponding feature loads and, where required, only after you consent:
- Google (GA4 / Google Tag Manager) - analytics and advertising measurement.
- Meta (Pixel) - conversion measurement for advertising.
- Live chat (tawk.to) - customer support chat, loaded on marketing consent.
- Google Maps / Furgonetka parcel map - embedded maps; these providers may set their own cookies when the widget loads.
- Cloudinary - media delivery for images.
- Stripe - payment processing on billing/checkout pages.
For details on how these providers use your data, see their own privacy and cookie policies.
4. YOUR CHOICES
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Customize your choices per category. Non-essential categories (analytics, marketing) default to off - nothing is loaded until you actively consent.
You can change your mind at any time by reopening cookie settings from the banner controls. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings (blocking or deleting cookies). Note that disabling functional cookies may break core site features.
5. CONSENT RECORD
We store your consent choice (including a hashed identifier, timestamp, and consent version) so we can prove compliance. This record is retained for 3 years. The cookie banner itself remembers your choice for 1 year, after which you will be asked again.
6. UPDATES
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance.
